Standard appointments are 50 minutes in duration.

  • Telehealth

  • Mobile Therapy (Nambour, Maroochydore, and surrounding areas). Includes a travel fee.

Therapy Sessions

Assessments

At Bright Tides Psychology, we provide comprehensive psychological and educational assessments, including:

  • Cognitive

  • Adaptive behaviour and functional skills

  • Learning difficulties, including dyslexia and dyscalculia.

  • Assessments that form part of the diagnosis of ADHD.

Assessment fees vary depending on the type and complexity of the assessment.

A tailored quote will be provided following an initial discussion to ensure recommendations align with your child’s needs.

Cancellations & Changes

Attending appointments consistently is important to support progress. At the same time, it is understood that plans can change.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. Where appropriate, face-to-face sessions may be changed to telehealth to avoid cancellation fees.

Cancellation fees:

  • 0–24 hours’ notice: Full fee

  • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the fee

  • More than 48 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee

Fees & Funding

  • Services are available for clients who have an approved NDIS plan and are:

    • Self-managed 

    • Plan-managed 

    NDIS sessions are $232.99 per session.

    Fees are charged in line with current NDIS pricing arrangements. Travel may be billed where applicable.

    If you are unsure whether your plan covers psychology services, this can be discussed prior to booking.

  • A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) can be arranged through your GP, paediatrician, or psychiatrist.

    Rebate:
    Medicare currently provides a rebate of $101.55 per session for sessions with a registered psychologist.

    Number of sessions:
    Up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year are typically available, with the possibility of additional sessions in certain circumstances.

    A standard 50 minute therapy session is $210. This does not include a travel fee if it is applicable.

  • Private clients are welcome without a referral.

    Sessions are paid at the time of appointment at a cost of $210. This does not include a travel fee if it is applicable. Invoices can be provided for personal records or private health claims where relevant.
